8.  Fancy Flight Suit

So, in my headcanon, since Shepard is the first human spectre, she gets to design the first human spectre dress uniform.  And obviously, my Shep has a flair for the dramatic – gold nameplate, medals, wings and bling … Simple Texmod (.tpf) replacement for the Scientist Uniform.

9.  Casual Flight Suit

A less blinged out version of the previous flight suit.  Simple Texmod (.tpf) replacement for the green scientist uniform (must be added via coalesced).

Be creepy and wear Garrus’/Tali’s skin. :)

21.  EDI mod for Shepard

Wear an awesome version of EDI’s outfit as Shepard … comes in N7 red and Badass Black (black not pictured).  Also replaces EDI’s giant clown tits with more proportionate boobies.  The .rar file includes two meshes (.upk) – one to replace EDI’s body with the proportionate boobs mesh and one to replace Shepard’s body with EDI’s proportionate boob mesh (labeled “Neck Fix” because Shep’s neck is bigger than EDI’s).  *Update* Due to popular demand, I uploaded a version of EDI’s armor for Shepard that has the original giant clown tits :)

8

22.  Nightingale Armor

Ripped a cape from Skyrim and ported it to the Blood Dragon armor.  Looks badass in-game.  Comes with silver/red texture and black texture (with glittery black dragon).

  1. so will some of these like 8. Fancy Flight Suit will work for the Male Shep too or just FemShep and where do i get the MShep cloths mod

    • I currently do not have any MShep armor mods … you can probably port over the Kaidan mods if you so desire … they use the same basic body type.

  2. Hi. Just want to thank you for all your efforts put into these mods. They’re amazing :D
I have one question though. I’m wondering if I could have Miranda’s red dress in the Citadel DLC as one of Shepard’s casual outfits. I know that it shares the same code as the other pink/purple variation but it’s somehow only red when Miranda wears it. I’m not a pro, I can only use mods and edit Coalesced bin, so when it comes to tint maps and stuff I’m totally lost. Please tell me it’s possible to use that red dress. I love it so much! Thank you!

    • Hi Nicki! Yes, I think it is possible to use the red dress, but you would need to use a texmod. I’ll post the mod when I get back from winter break :)

  3. GPG,

I’m loving your mods and absolutely willing to donate… if i could understand how to use them! This tutorial confuses me to hell. I’ve modded other games before and none of them are this complicated!

I can follow the steps you have laid out easily for changing the ugly dress but I am trying to use your armor mods and just cant work out which meshes exactly i need to replace, also cant work out which textures as well! I don’t know which meshes are for which armor that is my main problem and also what the file names for the pccs mean. for example i know that BIOG_HMF_ is femshep but I don’t know what all the rest mean. Is there a list that can translate all that for us?

  4. if anyone knows how to do these and everything can you help me im with Dee i tried to follow and get all confused and have to re add the files again n start over but if any of u are willing to help me here is my Email nathanvosburgh@live.com and Thanks and Merry Xmess!!!

    • For those of you wondering which textures and which meshes to replace for armors (if youre like me) this may help.
In step 3: look for the BIOG_HMF_ARM_SHP_R.pcc
      In step 5: select HMF_ARM_FBDa_MDL
In step 10: find the folder FBDa
You shouldnt have anymore problems after that.

  5. @Dee ty i think i got it lol im still very new to really modding this the only things i know how to work for this game is the Gibbed Saved Editor and MOAM ( mother of all mods ) i just found out about the cloths and armor mods last wee XD

  6. still having problems lol i replaced the dress with Aira’s clothing and it did work somewhat but the clothing was all black

  7. I am getting a error texture achive not found in directory when I try to change sheps armor. it stops at HMF_PRO. I am trying to add the american armor.

    • Some other people have gotten that error but it’s never happened for me … can anyone help Min out with an answer?

    • When that happened to me I learned my ME3Explorer TOC.bin did not have the CustomTexture0.tfc file in it. In theory is should be created when you first build your tree in Texplorer, Go to Developer Tools, TOC.bin editor, File, Open your TOC.bin, Edit, FindString, type in .tfc and see if that file is there. If it’s not, you may have to vanilla your game and build a tree based on the vanilla install. Check your CookedPConsole folder and see if the CustText file is there. If it’s not, try to change a texture in Texplorer – that should add it. Don’t forget to save and update your TOC.bin. Then go back and to the TOC.bin editor and see if the CustText file is in the TOC.bin. If it’s not, I know of no other way other than vanilla the game and build a tree on the vanilla install. Maybe someone else has a better answer.

  8. half the proceeds texplorer One or more errors occurred while the message is no longer proceeding with this will not be an error when you run …. and Casual Flight Suit originally rolled out hair and other symptoms caused by the hair .. and the armor only hanke the setting is it? .. thanks for reading heaps Nada bappeusinde

  9. Absolutely awesome (especially Kaidan’s mods ;)), even though I might not be able to figure out how to install them, lol (new player). Its too bad you couldn’t make a version of EDI’s other armor for FemShep… Shiny is SO win. ;)

      • That would be awesome! ^_^ I’ve done some modding, but only beginner’s stuff with easier games (Oblivion, The Sims 3…). I hate having to make requests, but that would be one of my most desired mods, especially if it could be worn to battle. ;D And I don’t think I’d have what it takes to mod ME3, lol. ;) Though I’d love to try my hand at converting hairstyles one day…

  10. Would it be possible to get a version of EDI’s outfit for Shepard whithout the breast reduction? Just the neck fix.

Love your mods, and thank you for your attention.

    • Ah yeah, someone else made that request and I sent it to them – when I get home tonight, I’ll upload it for you :P

  11. Love your mods, especially “EDI mod for Shepard”. I have one question though, since I play heavily moded ME3 now (hi-res textures etc), I have been wondering, whether you have original textures at some higher resolution and those included with mods are just downscaled? If you do, would you consider uploading them? Thank you

Looking forward to your next mods :-)

    • Sorry, I only have the original textures. :( I might create HD ones someday but if you need a more immediate DIY solution, just download a tpf extractor program and upscale the diff texture then repackage into a new tpf?

  12. I have a similar question to Von… I hope its not rude of me to ask, since its not fully related to your mods… I had an HD texture I wanted to use for one of these (Miranda’s, specifically), but all I have is the pcc file, and I wanted to edit the HD texture to be black instead of white… I can only ASSUME I have the right one, since when I copy it into my Cooked folder, her textures stop working in ME3Explorer, and therein lies the problem. I don’t know any other way to extract dds from from pcc files except with Texplorer, but every time I try to extract her dds from the modified pcc, I get an Unhandled Exception Error about “offset and length”… Do you know any other method for exporting a dds from a pcc…? I’m sorry for bothering you with this… :(

    • It’s not a bother! I’m not sure I understand your problem, but you can send me the PCC file you’re talking about at girlplaysgame.com and I can try extracting it?

      • No big deal, I don’t know how to send you a file without your email address, lol. ;) As it happens, I can’t seem to install Miranda’s clothing correctly anyway. I get strange lighting/shadow issues… It looks white in some areas and black in others, with this strange satin-like glare, and nothing like your screenshot. >.< I didn't edit the texture file (though I should, since the chest area is orange compared to my Shepard's unnaturally pale complexion ;)). Funny thing is, I tried extracting EDI's mesh and textures and replacing an armor set with it myself, and got the same effect, but even worse; a weird satin-like glow AND horrible quality, sloppy-looking textures… And the mesh was shaped like EDI's (same feet, etc) but way thinner. It was weird, lol.

      • Actually, I take that back. I think EDI’s mesh IS the same, but the reflections are still messed up in places, lol… And when I put the armor on, the camera angle changes to the middle of her back instead of her head. O: I best stop attempting to make mods before I explode my game. ;D

  13. still having trouble seems no one wants to help me oh well im getting by without the mods anyways thanks for trying to help

  14. I’m having a slight aesthetic problem with ash’s armor, and I was hoping you might be able to give me some pointers on how to fix it. Nothing big, but when holstered, my sniper rifle “floats” quite a ways out from my back. I’m thinking that it’s set in manshep’s rifle position, rather than femshep’s.

Do you have any idea how I can edit that? If you could point me in the general direction, I’m sure I can figure it out from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    • Actually, I just had a better thought. It’s not that it’s in mansheps position… it’s just that the N7 Defender armor (which is what I replaced) is really thick. So rather than try to edit its position, I’m just going to try to replace a different armor.

      • That’s probably your best bet, otherwise you’d have to go into 3ds max and edit the mesh and bones

      • did you ever do this I had the same problem and tried to replace the cerberus armor as it seems to have the flatest back but i cant find the right textures to replace :(

  15. I have a problem with the Ashley Tunic! I follow the instructions but I don’t know what I have to replace and what is the “CTHk mesh”…My game is always loading, can you help me, please?

  16. Hi GPG: Loves these mods and like asked if you could make Edi blue catsuit with neck filled in, miranda black armor for me2 and Aria all black suit for Femsep please? Also some of the files I download, some of texture are in tga format and not dds so it hard to upload in me3explorer, can suggestions? Keep up the great work and thank you :)!

  17. Sorry forgot to say about texture – tga file and not dds. Download Nightingale Armor and most of the files are tga and not dds. This has been happen alot when opening the files :( for me, please help?

    • If you do a manual replacement, you need to save the tga file as dds. I usually only include the tga file for people to make re-colors or changes as they please. If you do a regular replacement, all you need is the mesh (upk) and the texmod (.tpf) files.

  18. Hi, I tried to change the tga files in Nightingale Armor mod but some work and rest didn’t, sorry newbe at this. I trying to get the 2 edi’s alt suits and robot suit for my Shepard now, hope to get them :). Thanks for responding tho :)!

  19. While looking at the Nightingale armor, I just keep remembering the hero costume designer in The Incredibles…”No capes!” XD

  20. Some of these mods are just incredible ! Just so you know the mod “Fancy Flight suit” doesn’t work. I used the tpf file and nothing change in the game.

    • It does work, you just need to have your coalesced edited so that all the NPC outfits are available for Shepard to wear because it replaces an NPC science suit, not Shepard’s default science suit. There is a link in the FAQ to an edited coalesced file (Mother of All Mods) that lets you do this.

  21. Followed the instructions on the tutorial and it shows everything changed on ME3explorer however when I start the game nothing has changed.Does anyone else have this problem?

  22. Hi GPG amazing stuff, and i wanted to ask if you can upload the edi femshep armor original textures ? I would really love to set up the white one.Or the blue one as well,i already set up the red and black and would like to have the original ones too if it’s not a problem to ask.

  23. Hi there, can you tell me what happend with Plaid Adept Armor? I can’t find it in download section and i really like hoodies :d. Can you upload it again or tell me where i can get that one, please ? This one reminds me of N7 Fury which looks awesome :O. Keep the good work ^^.

    • Ahhhh no, I don’t! I run the game on my laptop which isn’t nearly powerful enough to be running ME3 and all my mods :) My graphic quality is pretty crappy. I think the highest res I have like 1024×768 :(

      • Honestly, even 1024×768 would be fairly stunning. You have done simply impeccable work here unlike anything I’ve seen in the Flickr screenarcher groups. This is gallery worthy.

  24. Thank you so much for taking the time to make all these mods, I’m loving the galactic bling dress. I know this is probably a total noob question, but is there any way to wear Ashley’s tunic as an armor replacement? And if so, which files should I be replacing in ME3 Texplorer?

    • Yes, you can – I would replace FBDa (Defender Armor) but there is a weird glow if you use a spec file not optimized for FBDa – also, if there is any skin showing, it will look weird if you replace an armor. :( Check out my tutorial if you have no idea what I’m talking about!

  25. Thanks for all your help. I’m doing a new play through of all three games and I’m at the end of ME right now. I plan to mod the heck out of ME3 when I get to it. I have a question .. the hair you use in your profile pic and in many of your pictures … I don’t see that available on the available hair styles you have. Also, is the face one of the two you have posted on another page?

  26. Hi, these mods are amazing! I’m trying to install the Nightingale mod, and I seem to have modded the mesh correctly. However, in-game the texture appears to be incorrectly wrapped around the mesh, I assume this is because the new texture isn’t being used. I’m using the tpf file in texmod as well. Any ideas what might be wrong?

    • Did you use the .pcc to install or did you manually replace another armor with the .upk? the tpf will only work if you replaced the defender armor …

      • The .rar only contained the .upk, the 2 .tpf files and the .tga files. Though I think the problem may have been that I replaced the blood dragon mesh with the nightingale one instead. I’ll try doing that instead and see if that works. Thanks :)

      • So I replaced the Defender armor mesh with the nightingale one and used the .tpf in Texmod, but I’m still getting the problem. Is there supposed to be a .pcc in the .rar?

      • Oh shit, I totally gave you bad advice before about the Defender armor – I forgot that I had created the textures for the Nightingale Armor to replace the Blood Dragon armor! Sorry! Is it working with the Blood Dragon armor? I just tested it on my game and both .tpf files work …

      • Originally, no. The .tpf simply wasn’t applied or at least wasn’t applied correctly. I restored my .pcc and tried replacing the mesh again, but now the game crashes when I open the armour locker or start a mission. I replaced the original mesh (no helmet) with your one and have the dragoncloak_silver.tpf in texmod. My ME3Explorer is version 1017K which I’m pretty sure is the latest version. I also tried to apply the bling reckoner armour to see if it would work, and it did, so I’m sure that the problem has to be to do with the mesh. Beyond that I’m totally stumped :(

  27. Hi these mods are simply brilliant, I was just wondering if the ice ice baby armour mod is still downloadable, I checked the downloads page and couldn’t find it. Thank-you again for the awesome mods.

  28. A problem I seem to be having is that none of the new meshes or textures show up in-game. With armor, for example, I’ve tried replacing the Defender armor with the Phoenix armor (followed the step-by-step to a ‘T’, several times) and it changes nothing in-game. I’ve also tried replacing it with the Kabuki armor, thinking that just maybe the phoenix armor file was perhaps corrupt or something and I get the same results.
I’ve had a similar problem with trying to replace casual clothes with the Aria outfit. I switched it out with the dress, and it was just black pixels. When I tried switching out the CTHi file all I got was the proper mesh but for some reason the textures were the textures of the BDUs and NOT the Aria outfit despite me changing the textures through Texplorer. oO

  29. so hey i have a question…the EDI uniform is something amazing but….it doesn’t match my shep skintone!!! there is a way to fix that???

    • The problem with the armors is that skin doesn’t auto-match your Shepard like casual appearances skin does. So you have to manually make it a color that is like your Shepard’s, sadly. You can use my detailed tutorial to change the texture color yourself to match your Shepard’s skin tone, or I may release a “fix” (basically blacking out the skin to look like a tshirt instead of skin) in the future …

  30. Hi, love these armors… but I have a noob question.
    — Do you have to rename the diff files in order to get colors to work?
I installed the Samara armor ok, but get nothing but the traditional red color texture – I was going for the green one, also tried the black. it remained red no matter which color I chose.

then I decided to try the Miranda outfit… same problem with those colors, plus there is an extra spec file labeled for FBDa (for use with the Defender armor swap I assume ??)
Thanks, and did I mention these are really great armors!

    • Thanks for the compliments! No, you don’t need to rename the diff files – you have to upload them and replace the existing textures using ME3 Explorer … does that help?

  31. I just discovered this and think it’s amazing since most of Femshep’s regular outfits aren’t exactly brilliant, but I have a problem with Ashley’s Tunic; I added the Diff, Norm, and Spec files accordingly, but my Femshep still has a white patch across her chest, pretty much below the collar. Is there some way to fix this?

    • Which armor are you replacing? Anything that shows skin only works properly when replacing casual appearances … armors always gives a weird glow to skin :( The only fix is blacking it out so it looks like a t-shirt under there but I haven’t gotten around to do making alternate textures for armor yet :(

      • Hi, wonderful works!
I tryied your mods and work fine, I would like use the Aria dress like an armor, but I know that there is a glowing problem. What should be modified for replace Terminus armor? (it’s FBDf armor)

      • hi! i have tried everything but could not succeed in applying “plaid adept armour”.can u plz upload the all proces with pics for that armour…that would be gratefull…thanks…

  32. yes, that helps. I made a mistake I can’t replicate. ie. I left some stray bits of something in the wrong place.
    Everything is working ok now.
BTW I like the psd file included with the Kabuki/TelaVasir armor. Tweaked it to recolor the armor to match the stock N7 helmet so I don’t need to go through the pain of removing it and adding hair.

  33. Im having an issue with some of the textures. Some show up right but some show up with a random brown on them. My last try was with mirandas outfit. the black one didnt have it but the skin was all white and if i tried the white version it would have brown covering it. Im not sure what im doing wrong to cause this.

  34. Hi, you have done such a fantastic job on your mods. I’m a new ME player (who’s finished the trilogy but will never play 1 again because of that damned Mako!), but I’ve been playing DA for the past year, so adding mods isn’t anything new, but adding them in such a difficult way is and I’m at a total loss. I’ve read your tutorials, and several others. Well, I had my browsers tab area filled lastnight….so more than a few. :) I am trying to figure out how to use the FemShep’s Red EDI Armor. I did figure out the lake hair finally and a few other things, but the clothing is what I’m having the most issues with. Any advise or another tutorial would be appreciated. Thanks and thanks for the gorgeous mods.

    • I have been messing with it and I see the EDI Armor under the default armor. Could you (or anyone) tell me or point me to a tutorial on how do I go about fixing this?

  35. I want to have my femshep ware outfits for character creations from Soul Calibur IV Dead or Alive 3 & 4 and the face I created on sims 3 all for the Xbox 360 is that possible how do I create those mods?

  36. Hi, I want use ashleys armor as a replacement I replaced defender armor at first but have very floaty weapons so I decided to replace the cerberus armor instead got the mesh replaced fine but I cant find the right textures to replace anywhere do you have any idea where the female cerberus armor textures are located?

  37. For some reason whenever I tried applying a mod through your steps, as soon as I load my game, it won’t ever load. It’ll stay at the loading screen for infinite and I haven’t even downloaded any other mod :c Please help. I’ve done this probably 10 times already. I know I’ve been following.
