Dress Up! Time Princess Gift Crafting Farming Guide

Dress Up! Time Princess is a super fun game, but the crafting system can be a grind. This blog post covers Gift crafting, which you’ll need to optimize to level up your companions’ Goodwill. TL;DR – you’re gonna need a lot of Plant, Metal, and Arcane Essence.

The first thing you need to know is all companions are not created equal. Some require more Goodwill to level up and some require less. Here is how their levels are currently set (per the DUTP wiki):

There are two ways to level up Goodwill – interactions (aka tapping on them) and gifts. You can interact up to 5 times a day with each character, and each interaction gives you 10 Goodwill points. You can give up to 16 gifts a day to each character, and each gift gives you anywhere from 10-90 Goodwill points. Obviously, you’ll want to craft the gift for each character that gives you the maximum 90 Goodwill points, and those are the 3-star gifts. To make it easy for you, here’s the list of all the 3-star gifts you’ll need to craft for each companion.

Ok, so if you’re going to farm gift crafting material, where should you start? Let’s simplify the math by ignoring the potential Goodwill gained from interactions and focusing only on gifts. We’ll also stop at Level 7 Goodwill because that’s the highest required for any of the stories (though that might change as the game matures).

The most “expensive” companions will require 283-ish gifts to get to Level 7 while the “cheapest” companions will only require 142 gifts to get to Level 7. Each gift requires two ingredients. Thus we can use that information to calculate how much of each ingredient we will need to get every character up to Level 7:

Ingredient# Required
Plant1029.97
Metal970.42
Arcane Essence959.16
Spices792.75

However, if you’re looking to progress through the Storybooks in order, you might want to focus on one set of characters first. For example, if you want to do Queen Marie to completion before moving onto another Storybook, then you’ll need to know which materials to farm first specifically for Queen Marie:

Hope that is helpful! Remember, the numbers here EXCLUDE any Goodwill you might get from daily interactions. So, don’t go farming EXACTLY 603 Arcane Essence for Queen Marie – the information is just meant to be directional. So if you have some spare coins to spend in Parven’s Shop, you’ll want to prioritize Arcane Essence. Does that make sense? Hope so :)

  1. Hey! I loved this and the last post! I just downloaded the game and it’s harder than I expected but also really entertaining!

How do you get more gift crafting blueprints?
